Discover the Power of Integrated Movement Therapy

PHOENIX has evolved the standard of Pilates and Physio treatments available in London with its hybridised approach to achieving optimal physical health and wellbeing. With near twenty years of experience in Physio and Clinical Pilates, Marc Goldberg has rigorously developed his practice to be able to deal with the needs of every body, innovating methods of identifying and treating pain and (potential) injury that are uniquely adapted to their individual abilities and progress as they move toward the betterment of their physical health.
What We Do
The PHOENIX Method
Our bodies naturally develop movement patterns throughout our lives, which become deeply ingrained in our muscles and bones over time. While many of these patterns serve us well, some can become maladaptive, resulting in those daily “niggles” and discomfort we often dismiss. When left uncorrected, these seemingly minor issues can gradually evolve into significant problems, impacting our overall physical wellbeing and quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Phoenix Method and how is it different from regular Pilates or physiotherapy?
Our unique approach combines Pilates, physiotherapy, and classical ballet principles to identify and correct movement patterns. This integrated method makes it particularly effective for both rehabilitation and prevention of injuries that might otherwise require surgery or medication.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your initial session includes a thorough assessment followed by personalized, 1:1 guided exercises using our premier Pilates equipment. Our Consultant Physiotherapist is also available to assess your condition and advise on treatment plans if needed.
Do I need previous Pilates experience to start?
No previous experience is necessary. Our approach is entirely personalized to your current ability level and physical condition. We begin with a comprehensive assessment and create a tailored program that progresses at your optimal pace.
How often should I attend sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs, goals and financial situation. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, adjusting the frequency based on progress and specific conditions. We’ll recommend an optimal schedule during your initial assessment.
Where is the studio located and is parking available?
Our private studio is located in Putney, South West London (SW15 2JX), near Putney Overground and Putney Bridge stations. Private parking is available upon request – just mention this when booking.
What are your opening hours and cancellation policy?
We’re open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid charges.
How long until I see results?
While every individual’s journey is different, most clients report noticeable improvements within 6 sessions. Lasting changes typically develop over 8-12 weeks of consistent practice, depending on your specific condition and goals.
